Path of the Just: 2002 - 2008

Path of the Just is a landsape sculpture located in the center of La Sierra University , Riverside, CA..It is dedicated to “ those whose lives of altruistic service have fostered human rights, individual empowerment, religious toleration and social justice”  The individuals honored  include Desmond Tutu, Mother Theresa, and the Fullers (Habitat for Humanity).

The design consists of giant planters in the shape of the continents of the world, set on tilted planes “pushed up” by  earthquake faultlines. The Path meanders through the continents,  with quotes from the honorees inscribed in the concrete floor of the path.  In the center of the Mall, a split 10 foot boulder will spill water into the central pool then flow below and above ground down the main steps, with the text “Let Justice Flow Like Water”.

The continental planters, the landscaping and decorative tiles have been done by volunteers;  students, the local community , and visiting groups -students from Australia, the SAGE Seventh-Day Adventists from Pacific Northwest, and others.
